Gypsum Fibrosum Shi Gao 15g Clears Heat in the Qi Stage, drains Fire, relieves irritability, quenches thirst and heals eczema, burns and ulcerated sores and wounds.
Rx. Paeoniae Rubra Chi Shao 10g Invigorates the Blood, dispels Blood Stasis, relieves pain, clears Heat, cools the Blood, clears Liver Fire, relieves eye pain, and reduces swelling from sores and abscesses.
With Ju Hua and Huang Qin, for redness, pain and swelling of the eyes.
Rx. Scutellariae Huang Qin 10g Drains Fire, detoxifies and calms ascending Liver Yang.
Fol. Mori Sang Ye 10g Disperses and scatters Wind-Heat. calms the Liver and clears the eyes.
With Ju Hua, for Wind-Heat induced eye redness.
With Shi Gao, for Warm Dryness attacking the Lung with fever, a hacking cough and a dry, parched throat.
Caulis Akebiae Mu Tong 5g Promotes urination.
Fr. Forsythiae Lian Qiao 10g Clears Heat (especially in the Upper Jiao), relieves toxicity, reduces abscesses and clears Blood Heat.
Hb. Schizonepetae Jing Jie 10g Releases the Exterior, expels Wind and relieves itching.
Rx. Saposhnikoviae Fang Feng 10g Releases the Exterior , expels External Wind and alleviates pain.
With JIng Jie, expels Wind and stops itching, for Exterior patterns in any season, pruritic rash and initial-stage boils .
With JIng Jie, Huang Qin and Lian Qiao, for Wind-Heat.
Rx. Angelicae Dahuricae Bai Zhi 10g Expels Wind, eliminates Dampness, unblocks the nasal passages, dispels Cold, alleviates pain, reduces swelling, eliminates toxins and expels pus.
With HUang Qin, for Wind-Heat headache.
Rx. et Rz. Notopterygii Qiang Huo 10g Releases the exterior and guides Qi to the Tai Yang and Du channels.
Flos Chrysanthemi Ju Hua 12g Disperses Wind, clears Heat, calms the Liver, clears the eyes and detoxifies.
With Fang Feng, for Wind-Heat irritating the exterior with slight chills, mild fever, headache and itchy eyes.
Rx. Glycyrrhizae Gan Cao 6g Clears Heat, relieves Fire toxicity and moderates and harmonizes the harsh properties of other herbs.
